WHAT'S
IT ALL ABOUT
Paramotors first appeared in the early 80;s. A paramotor
is a paraglider wing, powered by an engine, which is attached
to the pilot's back. The 2-stroke motor provides enough power
to make the take off run after just a few paces. The
paramotor
and paraglider are easily transportable, fitting into the
back of a normal car. We first teach you to fly a paraglider,
then we add the motor. There is also time spent showing you
the correct way to maintain and check you motor, a well
maintained
motor is essential.
To fly a paramotor good paraglider control is essential and
needs to be learned before adding a paramotor to the equation.
We start you off on a shallow slope or a large flat area that
takes all wind directions. You will spend the first couple
of days learning how to handle a paraglider, mastering take
off's, turns and landings, You will be taught about the techniques
of paramotoring and given a guided tour of your paramotor
engine and how to check and maintain it..
Please
remember that Paramotor Pilot is a much higher standard
in both theory and practice than Paragliding CP and so should
take a little longer to complete and more study time.
