1, Western Trabsdanubia
Baroque chateau in Hungary. The Eszterhazy Mansion was built over a period of 46 years, starting in 1720. It was designed for the family of Eszterhazy, the richest aristocratic family in the land, as a "Hungarian Versailles", where they could hold court. There is a breathtaking Rococo garden and Joseph Hayden (1732-1807) spent more than a decade in this palace as the in-house composer.

3, Lake Balton
The Tihany Peninsula is of volcanic origin and is easily recognisable by its twin towered church as it protrudes deep into the lake, 5km long and 3.5km wide. Home of the Benedictine abbey founded in 1055, of which only the crypt survives.
"The Hungarian Sea", as called by the hungarian people is about 77km (48miles) long with silky greenish yellow water in the middle of Transdanubia is one of the most precious treasures and is also the most frequented resorts in Hungary.The summer temperature of the water is between 20-26 deg centigrade, and it is warmer than the air in the

4, Southern Transdanubia
Also in this area is the 2,000 year old city of Pecs nestled at the foot of Mount Mecsek. With the almond trees blossoming in early spring the area is famous for the atmosphere of restaurants and coffee houses.

5, The Central Danube Region
One of the most spectacularly beautiful areas of Hungary is the legendary Danube Bend. Full of history, Esztergom was the capital of Hungary for over 250 years and the birthplace of St Stephen the first Hungarian King. In the second half of the 10th century it was here he was crowned at Christmas of the year 1,000 A.D. Both Vac and Szentendre, also in the area, are steeped
in Baroque - Rococo painted churches with their own history.

Also here is the famous 'Danube Bend'. This area is of outstanding natural beauty as the River Danube winds its way between Hungary and Slovakia passing places such as Estergorm and the famous Vac Castle, pictured on the left.

Flying around this area is spectacular as we usually do it in the evenings as we watch the sunset over the River Danube.

6, The Southern Great Plain
when the rider of the five galloping horses balances on the backs of the two in the rear - is a memorable sight. Red paprika drying out in garlands hanging on the eaves of the houses, the flower-paintings on the porches, as well as beautiful folk embroidery and local costumes in fine lace with colourful flower motifs - all this carries the fame of the 1,000 year old area of Kalocsa.

“The prairies billow like a sea” - wrote the Hungarian poet, Sandor Petofi who was a lover of the Hungarian Puszta and the river Tisza. The river gives life to the sandy country and fish for the inimitably delicious fish soup made here.

7, Northern Hungary

Smooth water, huge bays, backwaters and islands, rich fish and wild stock - this is Lake Tisza. In the middle of the Great Plain, its territory is the second largest surface of water in the country.

areas, which warm up easily, are suitable for bathing, the deeper parts for water sports.
Besides sailing, water skiing and surfing, you can speed around by power boat and JetSki as well.Along the riverbank there are recreational areas, open air

9, The Northern Great Plain
This flat land, covered by three counties, borders on the Ukraine and Romania. The villages contain hidden treasures, medicinal spas have been built on the numerous springs.

Debrecen,
the second most populous city in the country is called “Calvinist Rome” because of the central role it played in the Hungarian Reformation of the 16th century.
Hortobagy is one of the largest and famous steppes of Hungary and Mariapocs, famous for the worship of the Blessed Virgin, due to the picture of the miraculous weeping Madonna. After the removal of the painting to Vienna for testing in 1696 the weeping miracle was repeated by the copy of the painting in 1715 and 1905. Other features of the area include the beautiful palace at Tiszadob.
