Living in Hungary

A traditional Hungarian home. A typical village, flowers everywhere and no litter. Another pretty village.
As september goes suddenly the chillies are getting ripe and you see them every where. A closer look Just to prove that red and green chillies are the same thing. Red are ripe. Hanging the chillies out to dry in the sun . The other Hungarian passion is cakes. Every village has a Cukraszda (cake shop)
The Lake Balaton Area
The Fesztetics Castle at Kesztehely. One of the many highly ornate rooms. The library contains over 80,000 books. The entrance to Kisfaludy House Restaurant overlooking Lake Balaton. Our table with a view.
The camera can not take it all in. Traditional Hungarian music supplied by the house band. The flooded caves under the village of Tapolca. Mark and Jane rowing into the darkness. The restaurant where we had our evening meal.
The Eszterhazy Castle
The imposing entrance. The newly renovated side. The gardens are soon to be replanted. The un-renovated side. This is what the room used to look like before the Russians came. The newly renovated room but it will never be the same.

So highly decorated it takes your breath away. This picture on the ceiling of the music room. The music room ready for a concert.
Around The Hills Of Eger
Our hotel room. The bathroom. Heading out to Eger. Climbing out.
Eger underneath. Eger with the hills and vinyards. Getting closer.

Budaors Airfield
A warm welcome as you arrive. No one breaks the rules here. Guess what ? A Russian version of the DC3 brought here to fix. A fully flying version. Inside the hangar, and they say ther are no well off people in Hungary.
An aircraft I've never seen before. Answers on a postcard please. An aerobatic Yak. The Red Bull Air Race, Breitling sponsord plane. I thought I got a better photo, sorry. This Antanov is actually owned by a priest who does weddings and sermons in the air. Whatever next. Apart from Antanovs most airfields have a MIG.
I wonder if I can get one for my garden?
