New for 2008

Full British EP+CP 2 week Courses in

Castelluccio, Italy.

FOR THE TIME BEING WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING HANG GLIDING BOOKINGS FOR THE UK.

Our Paragliding and Paramotoring Courses are unchanged.

It has been a shame that the country wide shortage of Hang Gliding instructors and the departure of our Dave Sagan over 2 years ago has meant that we have been unable to undertake any Hang Gliding training in South Wales until now.

Recently we have managed to convince an excellent Hang Gliding instructor to run a courses with us but because he is busy himself and the unreliability of the weather we can't ask him to come to South Wales.

So we have decided to run a 2 week EP+CP Hang Gliding course in Catelluccio italy which will be in
June 2008, exact dates will follow. Anyone of our students who have been to Castelluccio, paragliding, will know just how perfect for Hang Gliding it really is. And it took me some time to persuade John to go out there and have a look for himself but now that he has he can't stop raving on about the place.

The reliability of the weather in June means the course should take you from nothing to CP pilot in 2 weeks. Hiring of all the training gliders and harnesses are included in the price as is B+B and all transport while it Italy.
For more details give us a call as there are only 6 places available.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT
Hang Gliders first appeared in the early 70's. Britain has supplied many World Champions over the years, and was at the forefront of glider design for almost two decades. The early gliders were, as you would expect very simple in design with very little performance or stability. Today's gliders have a similar performance to many soaring birds, staying aloft for hours, cruising on warm currents of rising air and gliding for distances of over 150 miles cross country. All of today's gliders go through a rigorous tests, to ensure they are as safe as possible, before they are allowed to be sold in the UK. Training initially takes place from low slopes, with three tether ropes attached. It's not long before the tethers are slackened and them finally removed .
